Velox - Grandstream devices have softkeys on the devices that can be programmable as multi-purpose keys (MPK) or virtual programmable keys (VPK).

Check out the Users Guides of your Velox - Grandstream device to know more about its supported features.

To set up the MPKs or VPKs for a Velox phone user,

1. Log in to your Velox Client Dashboard (www.myvelox.com) using your Admin credentials.

2. Select “Users” from the sidebar.

3. This opens the Users page. This is where user or seat information is managed.

4. You may now start editing each User by clicking the Edit button.

5. Click on the MPK and Extensions tab.

6. On the Device MPK page, you can assign the MPK key and value.

  • The MPK Key can either be Speed Dial or BLF or Transfer.
    • Speed Dial - Pressing this key immediately dials the extension  or number
    • BLF - This key acts like a speed dial when pressed but displays busy lamp field status otherwise. Red light means engaged or busy. Green light means online and available. Blinking red mean dialling or waiting for call connection.
    • Transfer - Pressing this key executes a blind transfer to the extension. This option does not work for external numbers.
  • The MPK Value can be assigned to a User/Extension, a Call Group or an entry from the Local Phone Book.

    7. After assigning the MPK key and value, click on the Save button to apply the changes.

    8. Click on  + Add MPK to configure more keys. Please check your device User Guide to confirm the number of supported MPK or VPK for your device.

    9. Please make sure to reboot the phone for the changes to take effect.
