Velox supports Fax-To-Email for inbound fax and Email-To-Fax for outbound fax.


  • Fax-To-Email - A service where fax message is received as a PDF file via email. 
  • Email-To-Fax - A service where fax message is sent as a PDF file as an email attachment and received as a fax message on the recipient's fax machine or service.



To send FAX via email,

 

1. Ensure your email has been added as an allowed FAX sender. Please request your company's Velox Administrator for these privileges.


2. Compose a new email to DID@fax.myvelox.com where the DID is your recipient's FAX number.


    For a Singapore recipient, this is the 8-digit FAX number. Example: 68160925@fax.myvelox.com

    For an international recipient, this is the country code, area code and FAX number. 

    Example:  50323679455@fax.myvelox.com 


3. Attach the document that you would like to send as FAX. Currently, the only supported file format is PDF.


4. Send email.


5. The Velox system will attempt to send your fax message through our service.


6. The Velox system will send a feedback email to your email address. 

    The feedback is either SUCCESS or FAILED. 


  • SUCESS means that the FAX message has been successfully sent.
  • FAILED means that the FAX message has not been sent due to the reason specified. The most common reasons for FAILED sending are as follows: 
    • UNABLE TO SUPPORT FILE SENT - Ensure that the file attachment is a PDF file. 
    • NUMBER BUSY - Try sending your fax message again after a few minutes.
    • NUMBER UNALLOCATED - Check that you entered a valid FAX number and try again. 
    • NO_USER_RESPONSE -  The destination or the fax machine you are sending to is busy or offline. Try sending your fax message again after a few minutes.
