Web Call or "Click2Call" Email Signature
The Web Call or "Click2Call" Email Signature is an extension of the Velox Click2Call capability.
This unique and powerful Velox widget allows your customers, prospects and email recipients to call you directly from your email signature. It is customisable to fit the look and feel of your company branding and is super simple to set up!
How to Setup:
- As a prerequisite, Click2Call must be enabled on your website and Velox system. Please click here to open the Help article to enable Click2Call on your website.
- Once Click2Call is working on your website, you can extend this capability to your email signatures to allow email recipient to call you for FREE from anywhere in the world.
- Prior to creating the email signatures, you will need to prepare the following:
- An object to hyperlink. This can be a TEXT or an IMAGE on the email signature where you will attach or link the Click2Call URL. For example, below image is the hyperlinked object on our Velox email signatures.
- The Click2Call URL. This URL will be linked / attached to the object in item a. When clicked, this will open the default browser to your website, activate the Click2Call widget and call the Velox user indicated.
The template of the Click2Call URL is:
https://[CustomerURL]/[page.html/php]?directCall=true&destination=[extension]&domain=[customerdomain]&description=[extension name]
Replace the values in square brackets [ ] with the specific values for your case.
- [CustomerURL] is your website URL where Click2Call is enabled. In our example, CustomerURL = www.myvelox.com
- [Page] is the webpage where your Click2Call widget is added. Normally, this is index.html. In our example, index.html
- Destination [extension] is the extension number to direct call. In our example, extension 1013
- Domain [customerdomain] is your website URL. In our example, myvelox.com
- NOTE : If your Velox registered domain is different from your website domain, in this parameter it should be the Velox Registered Domain.
- Description [extensionname] is the name of the User or any text that you would like appear on the Click2Call button. In our example, Kate Academia, this will appear as “Calling Kate Academia…” on the Click2Call button

4. Once these 2 items above are ready, you can proceed to create the email signature on Outlook or your company's email application.
5. For Outlook, open a New Message
6. Click on Signatures on the top menu bar.
7. Click on Manage Signatures. If you have an existing signature, you may choose to Edit. Otherwise, click on the plus (+) button to create a new one. Either option will open up the Edit / Format Signature window.
8. Create and format the email signature per your preference.
9. Next, we will insert the URL and hyperlink your desired email signature object. If this is a text, highlight the entire text and then right-click. If this is an image, right-click on the image. Then choose, Hyperlink.
10. On the Hyperlink window, paste the URL from 3b on the Address field. Click OK.
11. Choose the appropriate default signatures as you prefer.
NOTE: If you would like to apply the same for Outlook on Android or iOS, you may follow similar steps as above beginning Step 4 except you cannot use a hyperlinked image. You can only hyperlink TEXT or STRING in email signatures for Outlook on Android and iOS.
NOTE: If you are using a different mail application, you may want to research for the appropriate steps to setup an email signature in this particular mail application. Follow the mail application specific steps after Step 3B above. Adding a hyperlink to an image in an email signature is also platform-specific. Double-chec your app capabilities.
NOTE: If the caller is accessing your website or this widget for the first time, their browser may ask to allow specific access to microphone or speakers. A pop-up similar to this may display, click on OK to allow the widget to function properly.
