Custom Music On-Hold


This feature allows you to play a custom message or music while a caller is on-hold to further advertise your company and products.



How it works:

  • Custom music-on-hold is configured per DID.
  • It supports music or custom message on .WAV file. 
  • When a caller reaches a DID and is put on hold by the receiver or while waiting to be transferred, the uploaded custom music or message is played on a loop. 


How to upload custom on-hold music file:



 1. Upload the .WAV file with the custom music or message by the following steps:


  • Log-in with Admin account into the Client Dashboard (www.myvelox.com)
  • On the side-bar, click on System Setup.   
  • Under System Setup , click on  Auto Attendant.

 

  • On the Auto-Attendant page, click on Create New Auto Attendant.

  • On the Create New Auto Attendant window, choose Type: Music On Hold.

                                                               

                           

  • The Auto Attendant ID is automatically assigned by the system. 
  • Type in a Description for your Custom On-hold Music.
  • Upload the .WAV file for your Custom On-hold Music. 
  • Note: Upload only once and wait for the file to be successfully loaded. Multiple attempts to save over an existing file disrupts the process and errors out. 
  • Note: The maximum file size for the audio file is 10MB. Any file that is larger than 10MB would return as an error.


                           


  • Use the DID dropdown to select the DID number to assign the custom music for.

  • Click on the Create New IVR to save your configuration.

 2. If you are only setting up custom on-hold music for one (1) DID, congratulations! You have successfully set up custom music on-hold. 


3. If you would like to setup multiple DIDs to the same custom on-hold music, you only need to upload your custom on-hold music file once. Then, click here to manage custom on-hold music for multiple DIDs.
