Velox supports Fax-To-Email for inbound fax and Email-To-Fax for outbound fax.


  • Fax-To-Email - A service where fax messages are received as a PDF file via email. 
  • Email-To-Fax - A service where fax message are sent as PDF file as an email attachment and received as a fax message on the recipient's fax machine or service.



To set up your FAX support,

 

1. Ensure you have the following prerequisites. 

  • Velox license for your FAX line
  • Velox or ported DID to be allocated as your FAX number 

   

    Should you need assistance in obtaining a Velox FAX line, please contact your Velox Account Manager by emailing support@myvelox.com.


2. Log into your Velox Client Dashboard (www.myvelox.com) using your Admin credentials.


3. Select System Setup from the side menu, then click on Fax Line(s).





4. This opens the Fax Configuration page. The top section, Incoming Fax Line(s) is for configuring your incoming fax. Hovering over the question mark icon (?) on each column will display the definitions.



  • Fax Number - The DID that has been allocated as your FAX line. If this is empty, it means that you do not have a Fax DID allocated, please reach out to your Velox Account Manager by emailing support@myvelox.com for assistance.
  • Email Address - This is the email address you designate to receive Fax messages to this DID. You may add up to 3 email addresses separated by a comma.
  • Edit - Clicking on the Edit button allows you to make changes.



5. Click on Edit button to make changes. Then, click on the Save button to effect changes.




6. The bottom section, Whitelist Sources (Outgoing Fax) is for configuring your outgoing faxes. In this section, you can add specific email addresses who are allowed to send faxes in behalf of your company. Hovering over the question mark icon (?) on each column will display the definitions.



  • Email Address / Domain - These are the email addresses you designate to send Fax messages. You can add specific email addresses or your entire mail domain. However, for public mail domains like gmail.com or yahoo.com, a specific and valid email address need to be specified.
  • Outbound DID - The DID that has been allocated as your FAX line. This is the FAX number that will appear as sender to your FAX recipient.
  • Delete - Clicking on the Delete button removes this email address or domain from the list of allowed FAX senders.


NOTE: Make sure to add all allowed FAX senders to the whitelist for them to be able to send FAX via email.


7. To add a FAX sender, click on the Add Source button. Type the email address or mail domain. Choose the Outbound DID from the dropdown list. Click Save to effect changes.
